Hi! Welcome to my blog! 

A little about me...

My name is Monica MeGown and I'm a passionate 2nd grade teacher from Texas, although you will never hear me say "Howdy." :)

I am starting my 10th year of teaching this year! And you want to know something crazy?? I am teaching at the same amazing elementary school that I went to as a child! I started my teaching career in first grade for 3 years and then moved up to 2nd grade. It's heaven. I love this age and seeing what all they can do in a year. I love coming up with new ideas and learning from others to meet the needs of my kiddos. 

I am married to my best friend who is also a teacher. He coaches Varsity Basketball at his own high school alma mater. We have two precious kids...Myla is 6 and Noah is 4. We absolutely love our summers off together!
